Big Announcement! Our Meeting on 10/23/25 will be zoom only.  Go to: zoom.fixyour.pet to join.

Get Involved

The Collaborative is built on the idea that lasting change happens when our community works together. By getting involved, you’re not just helping animals, you’re easing shelter overcrowding, preventing unnecessary euthanasia, and creating a safer, more compassionate Tuscaloosa for pets and people alike. Every volunteer hour, foster home, donation, and shared voice makes a real difference.

How to Help

Three simple ways to make a big impact.

Volunteer

Lend your time and skills to support events, outreach, and shelter projects. Whether it’s helping at adoption drives, spreading awareness, or assisting behind the scenes, every effort counts.

Foster

Open your home to a pet in need. Fostering provides a safe, temporary space while freeing up shelter capacity and giving animals a better chance at adoption.

Donate

Financial support fuels everything rescues do from spay/neuter campaigns to community education. Every contribution, big or small, helps save lives and build a stronger safety net for animals.

Advocate

Advocacy starts with a united voice. By joining the Collaborative, you add your voice to a community working for stronger animal welfare policies, better shelter support, and expanded access to care.

Join the Collaborative

Most planning and idea-sharing happens through our active Facebook group (you can join below). We will hosting our next meetings on zoom, on the 4th Thursday of every month, where partners and community members come together to collaborate on solutions. The meetings start at 6:00 PM and are open to anyone. To join just go to zoom.fixyour.pet (the link opens an hour before the meeting.)
